Looking back, looking forward

God is in control. What reassurance this has given me this fall as COVID and today’s anxious social climate continue to be at the forefront of our lives.

Working from a distance on the last issue provided many challenges we had never faced before. While we have been back in our offices since June, this issue and semester have been perhaps the most challenging I have seen in my almost 30 years at the University.

Watching our students handle this pandemic and very unusual semester in such a remarkable way as well as seeing the University discussing and exploring diversity in more ways than ever before has provided hope and reassurance in these trying times.

We hope this issue provides a glance back to where we have been while looking forward to where we are going.
