University’s first family nurse practitioners graduate

In May 2017, the Carr College of Nursing reached an historic milestone, producing its first class of Master of Science in Nursing — family nurse practitioner graduates. To commemorate this accomplishment, several members of the first class share their thoughts from their time in the program.

Harding’s FNP program fully prepared me to work as a nurse practitioner. The faculty and support staff ensured my efforts translated into success as a student and now as a provider. —Nicole Adams, M.S.N., FNP

My time at Harding was spectacular! I adored my instructors and felt like I received the best education I could have received anywhere. As a new FNP, I am finding that going back and looking at some of my coursework is helping me make the transition from student to provider. If I had to do it all over, I would choose Harding again in a heartbeat. —Ashley Gattis, M.S.N., FNP

This program has been built by instructors that truly care about developing smart, caring and wholesome providers. I felt like they were cheering me on the entire way. I will forever be grateful for the relationships I developed with my colleagues and instructors; these are relationships that will last a lifetime. Harding provided me with a wonderful education and amazing mentors I am still able to call if I have questions. —Genevieve Davis, M.S.N., FNP
