COLLEGE OF ALLIED HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCES AND DISORDERS One hundred percent of the graduates of the May 2017 class passed their national board exams on the first attempt.

PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM One hundred percent of the graduates of the May 2017 class passed their national board exams on the first attempt.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT PROGRAM Lindsey Gregory was awarded the 2017 HUPA Veteran’s Scholarship.

Brandon Saunders was awarded the 2016 HUPA Veteran’s Scholarship.

Morgan Elam was selected as Physician Assistant Education Association Future Educators Fellow for August through December 2016.

Ahmad Scott was awarded the American Academy of Physician Assistants Conference scholarship in May 2017.

CARR COLLEGE OF NURSING The Harding Nursing Student Association received the National Stellar Chapter Award, State Outstanding Newsletter and State Breakthrough to Nursing Award in 2016.

Several students were elected to leadership roles within the Arkansas Nursing Students Association in 2016: Jocelyn Leibovich, president; Mallory Reynolds, vice president; Luke Larson, secretary; Katie McNally, District 2 director; and Misa Tello, Breakthrough to Nursing chair.

Kayla Rogers was elected president of the Harding Student Nurses Association for 2017.

COLLEGE OF PHARMACY Jessica Gall and Director of Experiential Education Jeanie Smith, Pharm.D., appeared on KATV ABC 7 in Little Rock promoting the HPV vaccine February 2017.

Assistant Professor Shawn Turner, Pharm.D., served as faculty mentor for Brady Clark through the Walmart Scholars Program at AACP in July 2017.

Several students were named representatives for the Arkansas Pharmacists Association Committees: Chithien Le, student board member; Mary Ann McAllen, communications committee; Zach Godwin, government affairs committee; Joshua Park, organizational affairs committee; and Kofi Boakye, professional affairs and ethical practices committee.

Josh Park, Taryn Eubanks and Shelbie Stickels were named officials for the HU National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Imi Mvere is junior board member and Josh Park is student board member for the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists.

Josh Park is national board member for American Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
