The Center for Health Sciences is looking to create an interprofessional center for live simulation and research for adults with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. This research setting would provide an experiential interprofessional collaborative research and practice experience with adults dealing with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease for University students while providing a safe atmosphere for individuals dealing with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Students from the Center for Health Sciences in addition to others ranging from art and music to social work and professional counseling will engage in diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and counseling individuals diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. These services will be offered to community residents at no cost to the patient.
If you are interested in making this research a reality, please contact the Office of University Advancement. Be sure to indicate that you are donating to this project. You may email advancement@harding.edu or call 1-800-477-4312.
